$200,000 Settlement Reached

A former deputy coroner filed a lawsuit against his former employer, the Richmond County Coroner and Augusta, Georgia alleging violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act for failure to pay him overtime compensation. The lawsuit also alleged that he had been subjected to retaliation for speaking out about the conduct of his former supervisor. A settlement was reached in the amount of the $200,000.
